Over the past thirty years, Dr. Ronald A. Krueger’s career has been defined by innovation. Dr. Krueger and our team at Krueger Aesthetics have brought dynamic cosmetic procedures and products to the Mukilteo, Washington, area. Our approach to the thread lift procedure aligns perfectly with our tradition of continuous improvement. We aim to provide natural treatment outcomes, ensuring our valued patients a safe, comfortable, and pleasant experience.
An alternative to conventional surgical facelifts or neck lifts, this category of treatment involves skillfully applying biocompatible, absorbable materials to lax and hollow areas of the face and neck to “do” as their name suggests – lift the tissues and effectively eliminate sunken, saggy tissues for a rejuvenated, natural look. Today, we use the “next-generation” twist on this procedure. It’s called Silhouette InstaLift®. And it not only repositions the skin but also stimulates the production of fresh collagen. This protein is responsible for the skin’s firmness, which declines with age. By stimulating collagen production, we support structural changes that result in smoother skin and more youthful contours. This characteristic also helps to extend the results from treatment. Therefore, it is regarded as a long-lasting, nonsurgical cosmetic treatment.
In addition to the differences noted above, the InstaLift® stands out favorably from other thread lifts due to its bidirectional capabilities. This means the product creates a pulling force to anchor lax tissues upward. It is uniquely engineered with threads/sutures and cones that optimally hold and support tissues in their proper “lifted” positions. So, our patients can enjoy dramatic improvements in facial contours without the risks, downtime, and recovery associated with conventional facelift surgery and related surgical procedures to tighten and lift the skin.
Every step in the process is largely hassle-free. For instance, no general anesthesia or deep sedation is required for comfort. The procedure starts with Dr. Krueger numbing the treatment sites with a local anesthetic. These areas have been “mapped” or marked. So he knows exactly where to apply the threads. The sutures, formulated with a polymer frequently used in medical devices (PLGA), are then threaded through the tissues of the mid-face and lower-face as needed. Once gently inserted and placed, the sutures are supported in the lifted position by absorbable cones. The whole process takes around 45 minutes. Since the Silhouette InstaLift® procedure is non-invasive, many patients can return to work and their busy schedules the next day. Plus, there are no special garments or highly visible bandages to contend with, though it is not unusual to experience some inflammation at the treatment sites.
