Introducing the one and only: The Perfect Derma™ Peel! A powerhouse peel that is safe for all skin types

This “master antioxidant” brightens skin, fades dark spots, and fights signs of aging by working at the cellular level. It also works synergistically with other powerhouse ingredients in the peel, including antioxidants such as Vitamin C (which stimulates collagen production) and exfoliants like kojic acid, TCA, retinoic acid, phenol, and salicylic acid. This blend of deep exfoliation and cellular-level skin renewal allows us to address many skin concerns within a single treatment. We love this peel for our patients because it’s science-based, consistent, and delivers impressive results.

You may feel a slight tingling when the peel is first applied. This sensation goes away quickly, within 30 – 60 seconds. Since it is formulated with a numbing agent, you won’t feel discomfort after the first pass of the peel. For utmost comfort, we may also use a fan or other cooling. Immediately afterward, your skin may appear red, and hyperpigmentation can look darker at first. These darkened areas will gradually peel off, so don’t worry; sometimes these spots look worse before they can improve.

Peeling varies. Some of our clients may experience very little and light flaking. Others may shed layers of skin for several days. In general, peeling starts around day 3 and lasts about 4 days. The Perfect Derma Peel™ process includes a take-home kit to help you properly care for your post-peel skin. Specifically, the kit’s Post Peel Moisturizer hydrates the skin to mask noticeable peeling.

After the peel, it is important to keep the skin dry for 6 hours without any additional products. At that time, the peel self-deactivates, and you may wash your face or put on makeup if you wish. Some decide to sleep with the peel on the face, depending on the time of day. After this 6-hour window, it’s safe to get back to your usual activities. The only thing that we ask is that you avoid anything that could substantially elevate your temperature; for instance, refrain from heavy exercise and saunas as your skin peels. Excess heat can cause further irritation or blister the skin.

Our clients appreciate that their skin often appears smoother, more radiant, and refreshed after just one treatment. For best results, a series of three or four treatments is recommended. Treatments can be completed every 3 – 4 weeks. Repeat treatments are also helpful for severe conditions like active acne and stubborn melasma.
