This includes our popular microneedling treatment with PRP therapy. Let’s look at what you need to know about this service.

What is microneedling with PRP therapy?

Microneedling with PRP (the acronym for Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is a skincare treatment that combines tiny, controlled skin pricks with the magic of your blood. Sounds intense, but do not worry. This treatment is designed to boost collagen production, smooth out your skin, and give you a radiant, youthful glow.

Does microneedling with platelet-rich plasma therapy involve a blood draw?

Yes, but do not be alarmed. Your blood is drawn like it is for a routine test, and then the PRP, which is super-rich in growth factors, is separated. This PRP is applied to your skin during microneedling to supercharge the healing and rejuvenation process.

Does microneedling with PRP therapy hurt?

Dr. Claire Murphy of Krueger Aesthetics applies a numbing cream before starting the treatment so it feels more like a tickle than anything painful. You might notice slight redness or tightness afterward, but your skin is healing and boosting collagen and elastin to enhance its appearance.

What are the benefits of microneedling with PRP therapy?

There are several advantages to using PRP with microneedling treatment. This procedure reduces fine lines and wrinkles, smooths scars (including acne scars), improves skin texture, and boosts overall radiance.

Is there any downtime following my procedure?

Not much at all! You might have some redness or slight swelling for a day or two, but this is usually mild and manageable.
